Parnate vs Effexor for Social Phobia

What is the deal with Parnate vs Social Phobia and depression? Effexor works pretty well, but it has horrible sexual side effects for me. Some people say Parnate has terrible side effects as well. What is the deal? Is Parnate like Effexor but just with different side effects and food restrictions? I also work out, so that hypertensive crisis sounds a bit scary.
