What follows is based on my experience.
What does 'psychologically addicted' mean?
Does it mean you are not physically addicted but that you cling to it for whatever reason?
I don't think the mind/body split makes much sense here.
You know from experience when you need Ativan because the blood levels drop so you become uncomfortable, and as your body has learned this your mind has too.
For me that means physical addiction, though I understand that this expression is out of favour these days.My advice would be to avoid thinking in black and white terms.
Don't think in terms of giving it up or staying on it for life.
Just try taking a little less per dose, or taking your doses a little further apart, and see how you feel as a result.
