I am in the same boat with you minus the weight gain part. I have no more advice than what you have probably read. Things that are helping me maintain are: staying calm when awake, focusing on positive thoughts, getting fresh air. I am finding low light and low volume XM radio Audio Vison channel to help somewhat as I am trying to get to sleep at night. I think that our irratibility is exacerbated when we try to get our brains around what is going on and how long this could possibly last. For what its worth - I am in AA and what helped me stop drinking was to take things moment by moment, hour by hour and day by day. I feel panicked when I think of these symptoms continuing much longer so i am "choosing" to stay as calm as posssible in the moment and know that I will make it this hour. Just as many others attest to making it here on this site. God Bless and hang in there. Typing this is a reaffirmation to me as well as you.
