But heroin is much easier to get off ironically than benzodiazepines. It's not a pleasant ride, if you've seen Trainspotting, but it is largely over with in a rapid fashion. Diarrhea may persist and other nasty stuff for some time. No sane psychiatrist is going to dump your benzo like heroin.
