I took a very high dose of adderall for 6 years and decided I'd had enough. The withdrawal was indeed terrible, but I found that I could cut off a tiny piece of a pill, so tiny that you'd think it would do nothing and the majority of the withdrawal symptoms would go away. I continued this way for some time till I felt my body had completely adapted to the tiny dose then I just stopped as it wasn't possible to take any smaller amount and there was still some withdrawal, but it was nothing like before. Best of luck. oh and for the record, I hate doctors that say there is no withdrawal unless you abuse it...I'd laugh my head off to watch one of them go though it..the bums
