I just started taking Lexapro

So I just got on Lexapro, and Ive been reading the comments on this site and I have some concerns I hope someone can help me with. First of all, I didnt realize that SSRI's could be so addictive as this is my first time Ive been on an antidepressant. How long does it usually take before addiction starts, and is there anyway to avoid it, or is my doc just an *sshole!? HELP
