Tips for Zyprexa Withdrawal After 10 Years

Posted by blueberry on November 26, 2006, at 7:48:29

Any tips on stopping 10 years of zyprexa?

It was originally added to augment prozac. It never worked that well but it did give me good sleep. (and now 10 years later a ton of new antipsychotic induced problems) I think doctors grossly underestimate the seriousness of antipsychotic-induced complications and antipsychotic withdrawals. Several psychiatrists have been fairly useless.

Most of it was 5mg. I've been at 2.5mg for a couple months. I know from a previous try that the last 2.5mg is horrifically difficult, and it ended up being a failed attempt. By best guess is to wean very very slowly by shaving tiny amounts off the tabs. Regardless, I will need something for the fierce anxiety.
