Hi.
> Just wondering also, if anyone on geodon alone has gotten lower than 160mg that's on it for psychotic depression or even schizophrenia.
I don't know if you are going to get too many responses here regarding Geodon. Like you said, not too many people are on it. I was on it for about a month for bipolar disorder, but never reached the dosage you were on. I experienced no withdrawal symptoms.
As far as recognizing the return of psychotic symptoms, that can be difficult. It is very helpful if you can ask people close to you to watch you for signs that your symptoms are returning. Since everyone's symptoms or episodes are somewhat different, either make a list of symptoms for them or go to:
and navigate on the left pane to "Disorders" and choose what applies to you. On the right, you can choose the American Description for an idea of what the DSM would say about symptoms. Some of the other links might be helpful as well.
The actual withdrawal symptoms of Geodon discontinuation might be similar to that of an SSRI because it acts similarly. These might include some dizziness, achiness, anxiety, and nausea. I would recommend tapering it gradually.
