Hi jenico:
Good to hear your off that remeron too... and for me I too did a very slow taper.. 10% of the original dose every 2-3months at EACH one... yes it took me almost 2yrs but I did it.. and also did acupuncture to help with my withdrawls... it totally works... smooths out alot of that stuff.
Me now Ive been off for 4months... and I feel better OFF than I ever did ON That CRAP!good luck

It sounds like you just quit taking the medication. Is that right? This is referred to as quitting cold turkey and it is HELLLL!!! I had splitting head pain, my eyes were racing, I can't even tell you how bad the pain and nausea were. I was terrified. My advice: go back on at small amounts (how much were you taking at a regular dose?), and taper off. If you taper off slowly, gradually, it really isn't too bad. Versus what you are feeling right now-I seriously thought I was going to have to check myself in to rehab to get off. I made it to about 17 days off when I went back on. I started with 1/3 of a 15 mg tablet for about 10 days and went down to as little as 1/8 pill. I think I stayed on each dosage about 7-10 days. Then I went to the 1/8 pill every other day, every 2nd day, every 3rd day etc. It may seem tedious but it is so worth it. Remember it's not a race to get off. Do a search for remeron and chest pains and see what you find. I never had that problem associated but I know I've heard it before. I've been 100% remeron free for about 6 weeks. It doesn't have to be as bad as you are feeling!
