It'll get better. I felt similarly going through and just after withdrawal, as well as read posts from other people who had the same sort of "make them moody" kind of experience. Vent as much as you need!
I cannot pinpoint exactly when things changed after my withdrawal, but maybe 2-3 months later I was on a more even keel. Still had to deal with depression with therapy (and regular exercise makes a huge difference for me).
I did do a slow reduced partial dosing for Effexor because I couldn't function with the withdrawal symptoms. That may have made it easier for my mind and body to recover, although it was slower than cold turkey, for me it was worth it.
