In reply to Side-Effexor - mild 'electric-shock-like' dizzy, posted by Anna-Ayla on February 7, 2006, at 9:52:04
> Wondering if anyone has had the strange experience of feeling like they have mild electric like pulsing shocks associated with Effexor, particularly if you miss a dose or 2. I feel it especially with movement, like running (feet hitting the ground) or turning my neck quickly, which is why I call it a kind of dizzyness. I can kind of call it up if I shut my eyes tightly too. Does this sound insane or familiar to ANYONE???
You're experiencing a slight withdrawal symptom from the serotonin synapses. I also feel this exact same feeling when I am on the treadmill. I take Cymbalta which is similar but acts more on NE than 5HT.
