I, too, have taken fluvoxamine for some time now. It is important to carefully taper off of the medication in order to avoid what can be unpleasant side effects of withdrawl. Most people experience no side effects; however, some people experience nausea, dizziness/vertigo, tingling of the exremeties, among others.

It is ill-advised to simply stop taking the drug. Cutting your dose in half to make it to your next doctor's appointment was wise; however, it should not be any problem for you doctor's office to call in a prescription to your local pharmacy to provide you with enough medication to get you through to your apptiontment.

Good luck and God bless!
