> Yeah, your experience is what worries me about trying to get off of zyprexa...after 5 years, not just 10 days. Yikes. My doc wants me to switch over to seroquel, but ya know, I honestly don't know if I can do that. These antipsychotics, even in miniscule doses, are very powerful drugs, at least in my opinion. My doc says "but 2.5mg zyprexa is not even a therapeutic dose, you should be able to wash out of it in a week"...yeah right!

You were right. I took the last one Friday night and this is Tuesday night and I'm feeling better. I've got some restless legs stuff going on and I felt ver scared this morning but I'm better tonight. I'm really glad I didn't stay on it longer. I can't imagine trying to get off it after years.
That's part of why I didn't want to take an AP in the first place. I've heard how hard it can be to get off them. But maybe the Zyprexa won't be so awful - it does have a long half life. I took it for a couple of wweeks and didn't experience any trouble stopping it. (I know that's nothing compared to how long you've been on it).
I don't think doctores understand how powerful these drugs are. My pdoc kept stressing how small a dose .25 of Risperdal was but it had a powerful effect on me.
