Hi, it will probably take 2 month's before you know if the prozac isn't needed anymore, it actually takes 5 weeks for prozac to be fully excreted from your system!!! i was fine when i discontinued 2 years ago, [i'm back on it now though] i had some extra anxiety and early-morning awakenings, but those were the only side-effects i incured!! however 2-3 month's is the time-frame to know if depression will return, i had to go back on because i have ocd..john
