I forgot to mention that Risperdal can cause nervousness and agitation early in treatment. It can even cause a side effect known as akathisia, which is an extremely uncomfortable type of anxiety. Nausea and abdominal pain have been reported. There might be a sort of inertia that any of these side effects has developed that may take more than a few days to dissipate. It really wouldn't be a withdrawal effect per se.

Sometimes, when the G.I. tract is upset by a medication, it takes quite awhile for it to settle down.

I wish I had something more definitive for you.
