Hi.

> Thanks raven! I know that effexor has a 4 hour half life and effexor xr has an 11 hour half life, which is the one I'm on but Luvox was only 9 hours. I want to come off them so maybe I should try something like Prozac which has the longest halflife of them all

Half-life is not the determinant as to how severe a withdrawal syndrome will be. It has more to do with what the drug actually does in the brain. That a drug has a short half-life means that you will have to dose more frequently to prevent withdrawal symptoms from appearing as you attempt to taper the dosage.
