Effexor Withdrawal Symptoms

Posted by heidi kissinger on July 22, 2005, at 20:46:09

It is so awesome to see all of your posts! Who doesn't think they are going to lose their mind when coming off this med?
I just started weining off last week. It's been a roller coaster....headaches, dizziness, buzzy-whooshy unbalanced feelings, supressed appetite (I've already lost 3 of the 15 lb.s that I gained since being on the drug). Most of all-- THE DREAMS! It's a magical nightmare each night!

Does anyone else flip from "I can do this" to "Should I get back on the stuff? This is too hard"
My boyfriend is already getting the brunt of my psycho mood swings.

Bottom line. I felt awesome, strong, level-headed, motivated, HAPPY, became easy-going, and really .... normal on the drug, but I wanted to see if I had changed, and if it wasn't just Effexor. Now I'm not so sure that I won't end up as miserable as I was before.

Some of you give me hope! I'll try it for a few more months (I'll try to try). Otherwise, it's back to chemical dependancy and contnted happiness. Not so bad, I guess.

Good Luck to all of you in the same boat.
