Hello Tom..like the new name :-)
I'm sorry that you're feeling down too..must be something in the air, the past few days i've been feeling pretty low myself.
I do have some experience with Mirtazapine, last autumn I was taking 30mg of this too. At first it felt pretty good, as in completely different from SSRI's. Also before I went on Mirtazapine, I was also on Effexor XL.
Anyway, I had a very similar experience to what appears to be you're going through now. The weightgain really started to bug me, then I started feeling very irritable and anxious. Also at night I remember having real bad restless legs. At that point, after about 4-5 weeks of being on it I realised how it was making me worse.
Don't mean to make this sound too depressing lol..but shortly after at my next visit to the psychiatrist is when my diagnosis was changed from depression to bipolar.. that was good bye anti-depressants for good.
>I’m don’t know what’s wrong with me at the moment, I’m up and down like the Proverbial Yo-Yo
Have you considered the possibity that you maybe bipolar? (hope you don't mind me asking)
Has there ever been times when you havent been on any meds..but you felt "really good" for like a period of afew months and then felt "really bad" after?
Thats what it was like for me, I mean my mania has never been full-blown, I've never been hospitalised or anything, classic hypomania really.
Hope you don't mind me asking those questions...
If there was a possiblity, then you could investigate mood stabilisers to see if they help?
Kind regards
Nick
