yeah, my doc also said it's very rare for patients to completely come off effexor. So then I asked, "well, what about those people who decide they would like to come off after some time has gone by?" doc said what to do in that case sometimes is to give the patient a 30 day supply of a low dose of prozac to alleviate the first few weeks of withdrawal from the effexor

good luck, I haven't come off effexor yet myself, 'cause it's just too difficult for me at this point to do it and still maintain two jobs
