It could take anywhere from four to eight weeks for you to feel the full benefits of the SSRIs, so keep that in mind. I was on Paxil, and due to an intentional overdose on Xanax, my psychiatrist stop prescribing it cold turkey. I didn't particularly notice any withdrawal symptoms...it could depend on how long you've been taking Xanax.
