In reply to When in the week do you like to go to therapy?, posted by Lemonaide on July 20, 2008, at 10:06:13
I have been on Tuesday evenings for almost two years. Seems like my week revolves around Tuesdays as a result (a day I hardly took notice of previously - I mean, what does Tuesday get you?) *grin*
Wednesday is the day after so I'm still heavily processing therapy. Thursday I start looking forward to the weekend and think, "It's not so long until I will be in therapy again!" Friday is my best day at work for some reason - I'm very productive and often not thinking about life problems/issues. Saturday and Sunday can be all over the map - family issues/fun, emotional upheavals, creative projects, events, etc. Basically I'm distracted or engaged in my stuff and it goes by quickly.
Occasionally I have therapy on a Saturday morning which I just started recently and it always feels like a bonus. The building is basically empty and sometimes this makes it feel more intimate. She even brought a coffee cup in one time which felt really personal. I like the feeling of Saturdays, but for some dumb reason I told her I *didn't* like them because they feel too intimate. I don't know why I lie sometimes...
Then Monday comes and it's a hard day at work but I know therapy is the next day! Yeah!
The bad news is that my T is changing offices and can't offer me Tuesdays anymore... so I'm taking Thursdays. I have no idea what that will be like! I'll have to see!
Fun question. We all have such different feelings about best days.
