In straight DID alters can take over consciousness.. In ddnos, for me, they don't..ddnos is a category for dissociative disorders that only have some of the criteria for DID, (previously called multiple personality disorder).. hope this helps.. confusing i know..i am not understanding cuz i think we are saying the same thing. I can see that you are upset and I am sorry.. I said DID "can", "for me" and "some of the criteria".. I am not trying to tell anyone they have ddnos or give a dx..
