Seeing other patients is strange-- sometimes they seem really appealing and other times-- pretty odd and crankish. There was one of my T''s other patients that I was sure (for no particular reason, other than it was suddenly broken) had broken off the 'On" knob on the small heater in his waiting room. I really started to dislike him (I didn't "like" him anyway, already--). Which was a bit absurd.
The part about the dog would make me feel weird-- like --hey-- don't try bringing cute animals in here to weedle your way into "my" T's affections. Don't know why-- but I'm pretty reactive to that.
Now my T uses different doors to let people in and out-- so I don't see other patients. It's a little strange not to see anyone, but to hear tham come in.
And being the last patient of the day-- you *are* lucky.
