A trigger is just a helpful flag so that people who are sensitive to the subject know that there may be something that makes them uncomfortable and they should avoid it. It just makes it easier for people to know when there might be something that brings out their own issues particularly strongly. Some people don't feel strong enough to read posts that might cause a flashback or make them really uncomfortable, so by having a trigger in the title, it just lets them know it might make them uncomfortable. The warning isn't for you, you didn't do anything wrong at all, it's a courtesy for other posters so they don't read something that triggers a strong response in them if they don't feel ready for it.
Hope that helps.
