Hi All,
I know I don't post much, for reasons I explained about a month ago, but I got something yesterday that warmed my heart (when it really needed warmth) and wanted to share it with you.
I got a Christmas card from my T... and she signed it Love, T !!
I so needed that, and it just brought some deeply hidden tears to the surface.Part of why I wanted to share it with you (aside from you guys being the only ones I can share it with and who will understand) was because I remember a thread a while back where we were discussing how we close (is that the right word?) a card, etc, and how our therapist does.
Last year (I believe) was the first time my T sent me a christmas card and it was actually more of a thank-you for the gift I had given her. This time she had already thanked me in an email response after I wrote to her after seeing her, so this was really an actual Christmas card! And last year she didn't sign off with "love", it was something much more formal/professional.
What makes it even more special is that I totally wasn't expecting this from her. Yes she let's me call and email between sessions, but aside from that, she's pretty firm with boundries.
It was just one of those "T's are people too" moments. It was a regular christmas card written out and signed the way I do with all my friends.
I really needed that yesterday. :')
Things have been hard all around.
Thanks for letting me share this here.
