of course you can dear one! for your own benefit though you should allow yourself lots of support by means of therapy, supervision etc. Patients have a way of bringing up your own stuff, and sometimes it can bite you in the *ss when you're not looking, and not prepared for it. Overidentification can be a bitch!! All that vulnerability and anger and hurt and abandonment etc., etc. -great motivation, good for the empathy I suppose - a phrase comes to mind "stronger at the broken places" - don't remember where I heard that
every T needs supervision and therapy (of course!! I think)- no matter what your experience
just take good care of you :-)
