That is terrible! I'm sorry you had such an unsympathetic, self-centered pdoc. In working with pdocs in a hospital, I saw how arrogant and celf-centered some could be. I was shocked.

There was a period where most U.S. medical networks began functioning similarly. Gave me an inkling of how helpless you feel.
But most larger U.S. networks now have reverted to more choice and less GP power. Some, however, still do what they can to keep power in the doctors' hands.
