I certainly think that an anniversary would cause the strange dreams. I still dream about my T frequently but it's only been a month since I saw him. Recently I dreamed he died - it seemed awfully final. I was glad when I woke up and realised it was only a dream about loss. I suspect your dream was also about loss.

I think the dreams will probably pass eventually, but you probably need to mark the anniversary in some way. You might need to grieve a bit, but maybe do something nice for yourself as well.

However, enjoy the recital! I hope it goes very well. I'm sure it will.
