Had to bring this thread back to share another DON'T my new (male, late fifties, balding, chubby) therapist subjected me to. He's a lovely man and we are working well after only four sessions, but.....when you are still quite ill, getting over a terrible chest cold, and have a severe coughing fit in a session...when the client says (showing genuine empathy), "I feel so bad for you, I hate that kind of cough, sometimes it's so bad you can hurt your back," DO NOT then say, "I'd tell you where this is hurting me right now, but it would be WAY too embarrassing!"
Ewwwwwwwww!!!! (have no idea, don't want to know)
