I hope this doesn't get transferred to the new eating board because I spend most of my time reading and sometimes posting here and feel I "know" many of you.
I see a psychiatrist for therapy & med management once every 3 weeks. I take Celexa & Lamictal. One of my (many:)) issues is "disordered eating behavior." A very poor diet indeed. Mostly sugar eaten non-stop throughout the day. No regular meals. Technically I am only a small amount overweight butI have had elevated blood sugar consistently over the past 18 months and was sent to a registered dietician to deal with this and to "normalize my eating behaviors".
So...the dietician was very nice. Good info, & I've been trying to follow her advice. More protein, healthy carbs., etc. Nothing too drastic though. I have not been hungry but I just feel totally slow and depressed. I thought I would feel better with "stabilized" blood sugar. This is so discouraging. I feel I am in slow motion & that my depression has worsened.
Has anyone experienced anything like this?
Thank you!
Kim
