depression and job losses

has anyone found it hard to keep a job with depression? my depression has really gotten in the way of three jobs in a row, from my sleepiness/lethargy to oversensitivity, it causes major problems and i've actually quit the past three jobs.
how do depressed people support themselves financially if the depression gets in the way of working? i've spoken to my therapist about this at length, but wanted to know if others out there have found that the depression impacts their work/ability to hold a job.
