I apologize for being so flip w/your 2 p.m. crash. I just meant that effexor totally wipes me out every afternoon. Some days I get that nap and others I just have to pull through it. If the effexor didn't work so well I would change the drug, but for now it works well except for the excessive sleepiness.
You certainly may be right that there is something behind the 2 p.m. time period. My difficult time is very early in the a.m. (4ish). I find that I often awake at that time with my body pounding w/fear. Or I have nightmares that just coincidentally wake me at that time. I have a much better idea now of what it all means, so maybe you could look to your past (if you suspect PTSD) and try to figure out what was going on in the afternoons when you were young. I just kind of let my mind float while I think to see where it takes me.
