Staying on track...

Posted by lauran on March 24, 2003, at 10:03:06

Well, my medication fiasco has essentially passed and I am feeling so much better. I realized something important in my illness. If let to my own devices and reasoning I steer toward a crash most of the time. On the other hand, if I share what I'm thinking/feeling, stay in contact with my therapist, work toward the right meds and use support groups, then I stay much more on track. I might stall on the track, I might even go in reverse, but at least I stay on the track.

I'm finally realizing just how serious my emotional and mental illness is. I love these boards because they keep me in contact with people just like me. I can come here and say one thing one week and something totally different the next and you all just support me with encouragement no matter what.

What a neat deal.
