> Thanks Phil. I have been reading and have run across this Dr. Breggin's name a couple of times. I was hoping to talk to my Dr about it at my next appt. Anyway thanks for the tip.
Are we talking about Peter Breggin? I'm enrolled in a class about him at University. Wouldn't say he's a complete quack. I fortunately had used his book Toxic Psychology in a class just as I was beginning seeing my psychiatrist. I was hesitiant about treatments because of what I had read of Breggin's but I feel as though he has somewhat prevented me from just believing everything my doctor says and allowed me to question whether or not my dr's treatment plan was something I was comfortable with. His work shouldn't not be taken as gospel but he does bring up many valid points. I say he is definately worth the read. It never hurts to hear a different opinion when it comes to medicine. Not everyone practices with the same ideas.
