I'm glad you're here. A lot of us have experienced Effexor withdrawal, and it can take weeks (even months for some people) to get off of it without experiencing wild histamine-system rebound and flu-like symptoms.
My advice is to take it very, very slowly. Let your body set the goal for timing, not your mind. By the time I finally was able to discontinue it, I was down to "chipping" tiny fragments for a long time.
Effexor can be (and for me, is) a life-saver when other anti-depressants haven't worked, but when it's time to come off of it, some of us experience a lot of difficulty. It's important to know that you are not alone in this.
