A friend and I always complain that when the kids come home from their Dad's, they're always sick. This year for my daughter after summer vacation (1 month) with her dad, it was bronchitis.
But your son's situation and illness is much more serious. Has the dad been told that the medication is important? Why is he taking the child's health into his own hands? You have evidence here that the father cannot be responsible and follow dr's orders - why not try to get the visitation changed, so that you don't have to deal with this again? Not following medication regimens is serious stuff, enough for a judge to see that it's detrimental to the child to be with the father. You have the medical records to prove it.
I'm not saying you SHOULD do this, but just that I would think you do have reasons to keep your son from visiting his father for long-ish periods of time.
sorry for the advice if it wasn't what you wanted or needed,
best of luck with your son...Wendy
