New Mix....or Drug Holiday alternative?

Hello,
ADD'er with past diagnosis of nearly 5 years. Off and on all ssri's and basically any combo known.....or so I thought.
I have had past success with Provigil, but limited. I am now (with some success) taking Adderall 30 mg XR. Currently have increasing tolerance effects and prefer not to go higher.
Question: Anyone thought of possibly taking amphetamines during the week and switching to Provigil on the weekend? Since the two are completely different in action, it seems to me that it might work.
