And thats something of my confession to you. Shudder. Because I don't know why, maybe it will lose it's grip on me. It's power. With the articulation. The articulation of something that retains power only by way of shameful secret and burden I must bear alone.
Sharing it will losen it's grip it's power on me.
It was a horrible thought / feeling.
But it is tied up in slavery, yeah. And related to how NZ treats many of it's people as slaves. Graduate students. Some of them. There are a few chosen people whose path or way is expediated. And there are masses and masses of slaves...
The friezes...
One of the pictures was that upright wheel thing. You chain cattle to it to walk around in circles turning it. But there were people tied to it. Turning it. For whatever purpose. That's slavery. There. On the frieze. That is celebrated as a work of Art.
And the things within teh museum seem obscene to me now, too. Stolen from the people who produced them. PRoduced by slaves. The weavings and the like from Pacific Islands etc.
And knowing that most of the artifacts are in private collections.
Trophy Hunters. There's something trophy about it.
I wonder how many people in the world actually have human heads as trophy's in their underground bunkers or whatever.
Just because they can.
Many people are really really really really really really f*ck*d up.
I had no idea until I started to want to study Medicine. ANd I learned a little something about what motivates most people.
Yeah.
