In reply to a stroke of brilliance..., posted by alexandra_k on July 2, 2020, at 2:40:28

And we have events like America's Cup...
(Women's) soccer world cup...

And you see if the nation can rise to occasion (good honest business -- everyone wins most geninely -- right????)

Or how much the money is diverted in the interests of corruption...
People undermining the success of the overall for their own personal advantage.

_____________

The minister of health resigned.
To be fair to him he tried to get on his bike early on (out of his depth)...

The Prime Minister did say something about how there wasn't a lot of people eying up the job of the Minister of Health...

I suppose that is so...

It is important to remember that the very very very very worst of the psychopaths and most depraved people in the whole entire world are drawn to 'health' because of the power there potentially is over the lives of vulnerable people who simply don't have the power to get away...

There are so many people who are focussed on exploiting the most vulnerable for everythign they can get...

And they congeal. In health.

And the very very very very worst of the richest and most entitled who bribed, whose parents bribed, who believed they were entitled by birthright....

Just the very very worst and most depraved of the people.

And then the very very very very very very very very very very worst of all.... The people who *wanted to be them* but who were not. Because of unfortunate circumstance. All the allied health people who wished and who are envious that they don't have the power to rape and murder and so on and so forth as those with birthright and money bribes get to...

And dealing with those people.

On a daily basis.

Dealing with their failure to buy hand sanitiser to invest in pay rises for themselves....

Their investment in heavy handed security so that demand for mental health services is less because security scared them out of the building on presentation....

Dealing with all of that....

We had a good Director General of Health.

I feel less good about him when I reflect on how much money he earns.

I feel better about him when I reflect on how many who earn more do less and how at least he does the job he's supposed to do, when he's supposed to do it.

I feel cross when he pretends there's no problem (while not actively looking at the situation).

But I suppose I admire his people skills.

While being concerned about his people skills.

There's disingenuous (good people skills) and there's misleading... Wilfully not looking...

And there's a fine line.

But you look at who his boss is...

And apparently many paint paintings and bake cupcakes and so on...

In praise of him doing his job well (for which is he very very very well actually too much renumberated because good children and adults are literally starving of healthy food)....

But anyway...

It's inspired the Minister of Education to be Trialled in the position of Minister of Health (likely whether he wants it or not) close to the next election which is a shoe in... (sure win)... But how he does at it.

He's done well sticking up for the underpaid and undervalued early childhood workers in NZ.

He's also minister of state services commission. Apparently they have something to do with fixing salaries of chief executives and the like.

Apparently there were legal issues around the PM (and others) taking pay cuts intead of pay rises each year that had already been built in.

But then he sees how early childhood workers don't earn good wages for work that is so important.

He sees how people won't pay for the good work...

They will exploit immigrant workers (if they can get away with it) requiring 24/7 hour work in exchange for food and board...

LIke, uh, like, uh, slavery? Like that???

Education has similar problems. The people who project / portray that they are super important essential workers who require so very very very very very much money.

Covid disinfranchised them. It got the whole nation wondering: What, uh, do you do, exactly?

?

But also seeing how people cry 'poor' when they are no such thing.

And how other don't cry 'poor' when they need help.

And also how there are people who wanted to be in health to help... NOt to exploit (because they thought they could get away with it).

I do understand that it is a little odd having a minister with so many 'weighty' portfolios...

But competence is important.

It's a bit scary that there isn't more talent being nurtured... Arising... Developing through the ranks...

But undoing the damage so very much bad governance before...

Just replacing the obviously incompetent with the competent is better...

But diversity needs to come along...
