An 'immuno-contraceptive' good for 1 season at USD $25 a pop.
Hur.
I am trying to remember what I know about horse reproduction...
The females are 'on heat'. I don't remember how often.
It is a strange thing.. People's attitude. Behavior.
I studied environmental ethics years and years and years ago, now.
I remember one of the issues we looked at was whether there would be anything wrong with... Blowing up a planet if there wasn't sentient life on it and if we knew for a fact that sentient life would never discover it.
It is a way of asking whether non-sentient life has intrinsic value or only instrumental value to our interests.
I remember reading some essay about ones attitude in climbing a rock face. About one attitude being to conquer it. Overcome it. Dominate it. Master it.
About another attitude in climbing the rock face of... Something more like mutual respect. Appreciation for it. Communing with it. Learning from it.
So it really comes down to the sentient being and how they approach the things around them.
All the way back when I grasped the ideology of learning from the rock face.
Other people still have a hard time in showing special care towards beings capable of pain and suffering.
Other people still have a hard time in allowing other people. In allowing articulate and demonstrably compassionate people...
Allowing anything at all... TO be free.
Sigh.
