We value politic -ing
But we don't have anything to polic about.
Because we valued politic -ing to the exclusion of other skills like reading writing arithmetic.
We don't have any products. WE don't have anythig to trade.
So it becomes about politic -ing over the things we have.
So it becomes politic -ing of the most basic of resources.
Water. You can withhold water. That's something you can politic about.
You get the idea.
