In Japan many public toilets are 'stoma friendly'. The streets are specially marked with raised points to help blind people, and there is braile everywhere.
Where I live there are fewer public toilets than there were 30 years ago, and the population has grown more than 30 fold in that time. The toilets are over-engineered to say the least. Turkey and Peru have far better public toilets. They did try to privatise the rain in Cochabamba but the public would not cooperate. From Cochabamba came the support for the latest Bolivian coup, Christian colonial fascism. I guess they will try it again.
We were travelling on the big ring line around Tokyo, and a man stood up and did something with what looked like a fob watch. 2 stations later he went to the train door and a guard was there with his hand stretched out to help him off.
