Normally you would try to arrange some purchasing power to keep the show on the road. The fact that they are doing the opposite suggests that they think it doesn't have a lot of time lto run. Meanwhile border security. We call that 'Border Force' in Australia, black uniforms and barking commands, recent history so easily forgotten.

Mathis was asked what his worry about the future was. Surpisingly he said something like 'We don't seem to like each other much anymore'. There is no more free (taken) space in which to reinvent ourselves according to our wishes. The 500 year old rampage is over.

There was a great line in "Deadwood" Serinjen (?) was asked where he had been. He said "I went to Australia. That was a waste of time'. As a result of history we still have some environment left. The animals and plants are magnificent and unique. We're working on it.
