I'm going to second what Eric has said. This is something to check sooner rather than later. That "stop breathing when I sleep" is a classic symptom of sleep apnea. If you do have apnea treating it may or may not help your mood disorder. Unfortunately it didn't for me but Eric isn't the only one it has helped. But it's not just about mood. Untreated apnea can also cause all sorts of physical problems especially cardiovascular. If there's anything worse than dealing with mental illness it's probably dealing with mental illness and severe physical bad health.
