The Legacy:
All the English speaking countries, except New Zealand and maybe Canada(? I don't know) were part of this vainglorious effort.
(The worst we had was Tampa, Children Overboard, SIEV-X, and detention camps.
The morality seemed to be that you did whatever you could get away with, and you made sure of that.)
It has affected a lot of people badly; more, I am sure, than we are aware of.
And that is in our countries, and leaves aside those in Iraq and Afghanistan.
