Thanks Phillipa. I remember your son was on a newscast you posted. He seemed like a fine young man and one who'd make his Ma proud.:) I am so sorry about your son losing his sight. I don't think a soldier should ever be put in harms way unless absolutely necessary (i.e. WWII, Hitler, etc..)
I also remember I was about 20 or so during Desert Storm, and I was personally bothered by troops being put in harms way. I was in college and joined candlelight vigils "for peace".
Regardless of the politics of it all, I still feel very much for the troops, all the young men and women, and all those who are either maimed or injured (physically or mentally) or lose their life.Thanks and best...
