Who is Grohol anyway?
Is he the Canadian Minister for Health.
(That's what they call him here.
It seems like 1984, now that I think of it.)

I am very surprised concerning the attack upon John Grohol.

I believe that it could have been sent to him by registering at PC and then PMing John. I don't understand why it was posted here in the manner that it was.

John Grohol owns a website called Psych Central. He runs it in a competent and kind way. He is a very decent person. I use Psych Central every day.

John doesn't block people. He's banned a couple, one from here.

John starts a fund, putting in money first, for members who are going through difficult financial times. He published a poetry book from the poster's works and sold it and put it in the "difficult" fund.

As far as I know, John makes most of the money from the website with the same type ads that Bobby uses here. I can ask John and get back to anyone who is interested.

When John enters into a thread, which is rare , he usually explains something that someone doesn't understand, offers his point of view or commiserates or congratulates a poster upon an event in our lives.

John has two co-administrators and some moderators. And they contact the poster by private message if they feel a line has been crossed. They also quite kindly and competently re-direct.

I don't know how many forums we have now but we have added some new ones recently. We have "Spirituality", Sexual and Gender Issues", "Male Forum" and "Female Forum"....All are used a lot.

Any questions? I have some for Jay, but will rely upon babblemail for those..........xoxox

PSYCH CENTRAL RANKED #4 IN TOP 10 LIST OF PSYCHOLOGY WEBSITES

The new issue of *The Clinical Psychologist* (APA Div. 12, vol. 60, #2,
p. 7) includes the results of a survey to identify the top 10 psychology
web sites: "Top 10 Psychology Websites" by Simon Rego, the APA Division
of Clinical Psychology Internet Section Editor.

Dr. Rego posted a message on a number of psychology internet lists
"asking members to send me their favorite 'go to' websites for
information and resources in psychology..."
