That link has an amusing name.

A few more words about Col. Davis' article (it is always a significant event when Gov't officials write articles in a paper that is anathema to them, cf. Porter Goss, Michael Brown, etc.):

Col. Davis could almost be describing a vacation resort: "most of the detainees are housed in new buildings modeled after civilian prisons in Indiana and Michigan...Detainees receive three culturally appropriate meals a day...Detainees are offered at least two hours of outdoor recreation a day...", and there is an eloquent testimonial to the salubrious nature of this spa, I mean prison, by one of its former inmates, who was no doubt sad to leave: "Mr. Hicks even thanked service members, and as one Australian newspaper cloumnist noted, he appeared in court 'looking fat, healthy and tanned, and cracking jokes.'"
Col. Davis almost has me ready to shell out big bucks to be put on a war crimes list, so I too can gain weight, tan, and crack jokes!

His article even has a sentimental title: "The Guantanomo I Know."

By the time you finish his article, you want to know Guantanomo, too.
