Our current leaders imagine that their fixity of purpose is a virtue.
(Perhaps we should take seriously their desire to compare themselves to the generation of leaders in WWII?)
In one way it is, because it is important to their self-control.
Not with the real world though.
It's not the theatre they thought it would be.
