Yes, it's interesting how good all the politicians you couldn't stand look in retrospect. You know that Australian PM, Fraser, who lost his trousers in New Orleans (after he stopped being PM)? He defeated Whitlam (ALP) in 1975. At the time he was the crazy grazier, there werer big signs up saying 'turn on the gas, vote Liberal', and 'wanted for the murder of 200,000 Australians' and so on. Now he's a paragon of the left, speaking out about our 'unkind' treatment of refugees and the folly of our foreign policy. He might have got a bit nicer out of office and in his old age, but even so.
